Siberian Crabapple

Siberian crabapple is a small deciduous tree that grows 10-14 meters high. It is native to most of northern Asia however it is often planted as an ornamental species because of it’s fragrant flowers and attractive fruit.  They are adapted to a wide range of soil types and can be found in field and thickets. They are often used for conservation and landscape plantings. They are valued for their foliage, fruit, flowers, wildlife benefits, and variations in form and size.



Deciduous, alternate, simple. Shiny dark green leaves and paler underneath. Mature leaves hairless. Leaves narrow and pointed at tip, with fine teeth.


Yellow or red apples, 1 cm long. Fruits hang on long stalks.


White petals and widely spaced.
